Why do we use a contingency fee?
The most powerful settlement documentaries require months, possibly even years of investigation, interviews, medical documentation, liability development, location shooting, graphics and 3D animations, editing, and ongoing updates as the case evolves, and yet would be difficult to fund. The cost of producing that work at standard professional rates can be substantial. Yet no one knows the absolute outcome of the case in advance making funding a risk.
Traditional media firms are constrained by budgets. Diamond Bullet can continue developing the case because its interests are aligned with the outcome. A contingency arrangement aligns the attorney's, the client's and the documentary producer's interests. Rather than requiring large up-front production fees, Diamond Bullet Media may agree to share in the risk of the case. If we agree on the merits of the claim, and that a longer form settlement documentary would be valuable and productive, we may accept compensation contingent upon a successful recovery. This allows deserving cases to benefit from high-end documentary advocacy that might otherwise be financially impractical.

Day in the Life Documentaries
There is no more profound way to demonstrate the plaintiff's physical injury and actual damages than a Day in the Life Documentary. The daily activities of your client are documented to portray to a jury or adjustor the severity and extent of damages or loss. When you need to preserve and present pain, suffering, and mental anguish, a sensitive and professional documentary delivers a powerful impact. Day in the Life documentaries may take from one day of shooting and a day of editing, up to several weeks to capture different telling events such as doctor and therapy visits, but contingency contracts are not necessary on shorter form projects such as a D.I.L.
Re-Enactments
Actors matching your client's description, placed in locations that accurately depict the scene of the accident, move through the actions to recreate the exact events that led to damages or loss. Close-ups, slow motion, and special effects are edited together into a powerful demonstration that allows a jury or adjuster to emotionally relive the trauma and understand its full consequence. These segments may be a part of a full Settlement Documentary or could be a stand alone piece not needing for a contingency fee.
Mock News Coverage
When the threat of bad publicity can play a role in persuading a more reasonable out-of-court settlement, a mock news story is a compelling option. Allow the defendant company's PR team or executives to see exactly what the press will do with the story — including man-on-the-street interviews — and watch the dynamic shift. Again, these segments may not be in the longer for Settlement Documentary and if so do not need a contingency fee basis.
